Cultural Collection at The Wallace
The Afternoon tea is the ultimate indulgence, and it doesn’t get much better than the way it’s served in London hotels, restaurants and cafés. The traditional afternoon tea consists of a selection of dainty sandwiches, scones and clotted cream. You can also add a glass of champagne to the classic selection of teas for a more glamourous experience.
London has it all. The Wallace Restaurant is located within the beautiful Wallace Collection gallery on Manchester Square, considered to be one of the best collections of fine arts including paintings, porcelain and furnishings in the UK.
WHAT’S THE VIBE?
Step inside and you’re hit by a wave of superb eighteenth century luxuries, surrounded by one of the world’s greatest collections of art. Take a stroll through the Great Gallery to admire distinct heritage master paintings in impressively decorated Victorian halls and rooms.
Most famous for our old master paintings and 18th century French porcelain and furniture, the collection also includes one of the finest collection of princely arms and armor in Britain as well as gold boxes, miniatures, sculpture and Medieval and Renaissance works of art such as majolica, glass and Limoges enamels.
The Wallace Collection’s stunning courtyard is the glamorous location for Peyton and Byrne’s French-style brasserie. Flooded with natural light, and dotted with trees and sculptures, The Wallace Restaurant is one of the most prominent hidden gems to visit. Indulge in a selection of freshly made sandwiches, perfectly dainty scones with clotted cream and Peyton and Byrne preserves, followed by a selection of delicious cakes, with the option to add a glass of champagne. The Wallace Restaurant offers al fresco dining in a sublime setting protected from both the elements and the bustle of the West End. This is a London dining experience just waiting to be discovered.
