A couple of weeks ago we went on a trip to Italy and decided to visit Milan for a few days. Having lived there previously, this visit was definitely somewhat nostalgic, reminiscing about the days spent wondering the streets of the old city of Milan. The first moment that I arrived at Piazza Duomo I couldn’t help it but grin and admire the sights that I called home for two long years.

Naturally I immediately started scouting for changes comparing it with my memories. And changes there were.. In the worldly famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II I spotted the beautiful Pasticceria Marchesi, one of Milan’s oldest and finest pastry shops. Without second thoughts we decided to go in for a tasting of their brilliantly colorful cakes, which did not disappoint and would definitely recommend trying it if you get the chance.
Finally the locals were as welcoming as always, giving you the authentic italian spirit with their loudness, gestures and helpfulness.
