In the light of the Christmas season, We went on a walk around one of the most popular parts of London – the Themes riverside from Tower of London to the Shard. Lovely sunny weather and sparkly trees adorned our surroundings as we decided to stop for a brunch at one of the most unique restaurants in London – the igloos at the terrace of Coppa Club.
After a lovely brunch – which I totally recommend you to try out as the view is absolutely amazing, we continued the exploration. Destination the tallest building in London – the Shard.
Interestingly, the Shard was inaugurated on 6th July 2012, which is exactly 72 days before the day I came to London for the first time.
( I came to London in September 2012 to join my first year at King’s College London)
72 is also the number of habitable floors of the glass-clad pyramidal tower!
The Shard has a viewing gallery and an open-air observation deck on the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 metres.
When I think of such heights I am usually uncomfortable using any electronic devices as the thought of dropping my phone for example is scary.
In general I try to take care of my tech gadgets. Especially my iPhone, for which I try to achieve a middle line between security and elegance. I have to say this was quite a challenge until I came across the iDeal of Sweden brand. I am lucky to have discovered this really cool brand and I absolutely love their phone case.
