Welcome to another post dedicated to the most decadent of all British traditions, the delightful Afternoon Tea. It is my pleasure to talk about this beautiful gem of a place located only moments away from Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Being a recognised French hotel chain, the Tea at the Sofitel St James is a lovely blend of British tradition with exceptional Parisienne pastries. Their fine range of exclusive teas from rose buds and rose petals to jasmine and orchid, are an indulgence in itself.
Usually when going for Afternoon Tea, I like to stick to just tea, however the ambient here called for ending the day with a sip of Champagne.
The intimate and elegant decor of The Rose Lounge boasted with pink and cream colour palette, stunning displays of aromatic roses further amplified by the gentle sound of a harp. The harpist was playing the most endearingly captivating musical pieces many of which were by Ludovico Einaudi, a famous Italian pianist.
The room accommodating plump, plush sofas in warm pink shades flashes an undoubtedly feminine style. Moreover lounging was so serene and satisfying that we didn’t realise how quickly time flew by.
Tempting cakes and dainty cut sandwiches symbolise the fittingly elegant Rose Lounge menu. The always very fresh fragrant roses and the subtle melody of the harp are the very recognisable signatures of The Rose Lounge and offer the most intimate atmosphere to enjoy yourself and unwind from the buys London lifestyle.
The ambience here truly embodies the word luxurious and stands for one of the most opulent rose-tinted Afternoon Tea experiences in a soothing surrounding. This place certainly captured my heart and I shall unquestionably return again. ♥
